Manities are mamals. They have a thick layer of fat called bluber, wich keeps them warm. It is endangerd because in the olden days pepole hunted it for it's blubber and meat.
I was so fascinated by manatees, I wrote about them when I was in elementary school, just like you. The only difference was that instead of just the teacher reading my report, you seem to have lots of readers reading your writing!

...these days the biggest threat is people in power boats. Sometimes the propellers hit the slow-moving manatees.
Since manatees are found in Florida,
that puts Florida's obesity percentage up.
